Mary Duncan Boyd: Loris

    Mary Duncan Boyd of Loris passed away Sunday, Sept. 7 at Loris Extended Care Facility following an illness. She was 95.
    Born on Jan. 6, 1919 in Horry County, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Duncan and the late Annie Elizabeth Cox Duncan. Mrs. Boyd was a homemaker and a longtime member of Loris First Baptist Church.
    Survivors include her son-in-law, Glendale Jolly of Wilmington; two granddaughters, Lisa Jolly Norman and husband, Thomas of Clarendon, and Greta Jolly Walker and husband, Robbie of Leland; and one great grandson, Adam Marlowe and wife, Meredith of Mebane.
    Mrs. Boyd was predeceased by her husband, Hoke Homer Boyd; her daughter, Charlotte Boyd Jolly; grandson, Michael Marlowe and her eight brothers and sisters.
    Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9 at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Reverend Carl Harris and Mr. Ronald Fowler officiating.
    Visitation was planned from 12:30 to 2 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home. Committal services will be private.
