Singing for Mom, lungs

With great cooperation from Mother Nature, more than $6,000 was raised for the The Lung Transplant Foundation in honor of double-lung transplant and retired Tabor City educator Norris G. Hunt Saturday morning.
Event organizers included Nashville country music recording artist Christy McDonald. With generous back-up from The Carolina Opry band, Christy belted out country, pop, and gospel tunes that delighted the crowd, including her mother, Norris Hunt.
