Russell B. Hardwick: Nichols
Russell B. Hardwick of Nichols passed away Tuesday, Sept. 16. He was 54.
Mr. Hardwick was born in Horry County, a son of the late Oscar E. “Junior” Hardwick and the late Ruby Dell Carter Hardwick. He was a member of Spring Branch Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, sang in the Church Choir, and was a member of the Men’s Sunday School Class.
Mr. Hardwick was employed by Printing Port for several years. He loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed his boat and working on projects around the house and loved working in his garden. He loved his family and his lab “Biscuit”. His son, Corey, was his life.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Brenda Hammond Hardwick of Nichols; a son, Corey Hardwick of Nichols; two sisters, Tina H. Worley and her husband Charles Ray Worley of Tabor City and Irma Jane H. Allen and her husband, Garland “Bud” Allen of Sevierville, Tennessee; two aunts, Shirley Carter of Calabash and Frances Brown of Supply; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel.
Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at Spring Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Vipperman and Rev. Jonathan Barbee officiating, with burial following in the church cemetery.
