Alexander McLaughlin: Whiteville

    Alexander McLaughlin of Whiteville died Monday, Sept. 15 at Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte. He was 55.
    He was the son of Robert and Juanita McLaughlin.
    He is survived by his fiancée Betty Aiken; daughter, Cherall McLaughlin; step-daughter, Marquita Jarrett and step son, Demetrius Aiken; two sisters, Cheryl Long, Deborah Willis; one brother, Robert McLaughlin, Jr.
    Visitation was planned from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, at Westside Funeral Home, Tabor City.
    Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20 in Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, Whiteville conducted by Dr. James A. Scott, Sr., with burial following in the Bell View Cemetery, Chadbourn.
