Eddie Winston Gore: Tabor City

    Eddie Winston Gore of Tabor City died Sunday, Sept. 21, in his home. He was 89.
     He was born Oct. 19, 1924 in Columbus County to the late Eddie Gore and Eva Stocks Gore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ina Lee Fipps Gore.
    Mr. Gore is survived by one son, Eddie McNeil Gore and wife Barbara of Tabor City; one brother, Tom Gore of Shallotte; two sisters, Alice Johnson of Fayetteville and Freda Fipps of Tabor City; one granddaughter, Natalie G. Grainger and husband Kevin of Whiteville; three great-grandchildren, Connor Grainger, Kourtney Grainger, and Tori Grainger.
    Mr. Gore was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Tabor City. He was also a businessman in Tabor City for more than 50 years.
    Visitation was planned from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, in Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City.
    Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, in St. Paul United Methodist Church in Tabor City, with burial following in Spivey Cemetery, Tabor City.
    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Paul United Methodist Church, 410 E 5th St., Tabor City, NC 28463.
