Lions’ roar silenced in TC
By DEUCE NIVEN
A half-century of civic service to Tabor City came to a quiet end Monday, with the handful of remaining Lions Club members voting to disband the club.
Flags flying on special days may continue, with club members agreeing to give the U.S. Flags that have lined Tabor City streets, sponsored by businesses, to town government, club member Royce Harper said.
Harper, who is also Tabor City’s mayor, said town workers may continue that tradition.
“If they don’t, I’ll put up what I can, myself,” Harper said.
