Joseph Daniel Edge: Longs

    Joseph Daniel Edge of Longs entered the presence of his Lord and Savior in the early morning hours on Nov. 1 at the age of 81.  
    Mr. Edge born in Conway on Aug. 25, 1933 to Lola Etta Causey Edge and Mc Duff Edge both of Conway.
    Dan is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nina Ree Edge; two sons, Stephen Joel Edge and Joey Daniel Edge; two daughters, Andrea Melton Edge and Kari Contos Edge; five grandchildren.
    He was predeceased by his mother, Lola Etta Causey Edge, father, McDuff Edge both of Conway, four sisters, and six brothers.
    Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 6 at Mt. Leon Baptist Church in Longs, with burial following at Mt. Leon Cemetery with full military honors.
    The family planned to receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. in the church fellowship hall.
    In lieu of flowers, the family request that any honorarium be made to Gideons International, Myrtle Beach Camp, P. O. Box 8832, Myrtle Beach, SC 29578-8832 for the purchase and distribution of Bibles.
