Hoyt Deleon Vaught: Loris

    Hoyt Deleon Vaught of Loris passed away Friday, Nov. 7 at McLeod Loris hospital following an illness. He was 86.
    Mr. Vaught was born Feb. 23, 1928 in Loris, son of Mr. Edgar Leffel Vaught and Mrs. Martha Ada Little Vaught.
    Mr. Vaught served his country with courage and honor in the United States Air Force during World War II.
    Survivors include his wife, Pearl Harris Vaught of the home, his son, Michael Vaught of Loris; his daughter, Sheila Vaught Prince of Green Sea; two step-sons, Faron Dutton of Cummings, Georgia and Victor Lynn Dutton of Mullins; step-daughter, Jackie Yarbourough of Conway; daughter-in-law, Dr. Betty Springs Vaught of Loris; his sister, Lucille Pegram of Stokesdale, and many loving grand and great-grandchildren.
    Mr. Vaught was predeceased by his parents; his son, Randy Vaught; five brothers, Whitney, Jesse, Liston, Dewey and Earl Vaught and one sister, Eula V. Butler.
    Graveside services were held 2 p.m.  Monday, Nov. 10 at Simpson Creek Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Floyd officiating.
