Pearl Hardee King: Loris

    Pearl Hardee King of Loris passed away Sunday, Nov. 23, at her home following an illness. She was 80.
    Mrs. King was born in Loris, a daughter of the late Robert E. Hardee and the late Leitha Housand Hardee. She was a member of Loris First Baptist Church and was the former owner and operator of Country Frame Shop.
    She was predeceased by her husband, H. M. “Punk” King; two brothers, Rev. Drew Hardee and Lanue Hardee; and two sisters, Ethel Gause and Lorine Pennywitt.
    Survivors include a daughter, Tracy K. Collins of Loris; a son, Greg King of Loris; a brother, C. B. Hardee of Effington; and six grandchildren.
    Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel.
    Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, at Loris First Baptist Church with Dr. Jim Mezick and Rev. Carl Harris officiating, burial following in Twin City Memorial Gardens.
