Betty A. Soles Butler: Effingham

    Betty A. Soles Butler of Effingham passed away Wednesday, Nov. 19 at McLeod Hospice House following an illness. She was 79.
    Mrs. Butler was born April 7, 1935 in Tabor City, daughter of the late Mr. Solan Soles and the late Mrs. Clyde Duncan Soles.
    Mrs. Butler retired as a nurse with Carolinas Hospital System.
    Survivors include her husband, Charlton Butler of the home; one son, Charl Butler of Columbia; son-in-law, Rondal Mims of Effingham; sister, Kathleen Jernigan of Green Sea; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
     In addition to  her parents, Mrs. Butler was predeceased by her daughter, Clydia Lynn Mims; six sisters and two brothers.
     Graveside services were held 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22 at Mt. Zion Cemetery with Pastor David Watts officiating.
    Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
