Spencer Caines: Whiteville

     Spencer Caines of Whiteville died Thursday, Dec. 4 in the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston.  He was 61.
    Born Dec. 20, 1952 in Columbus County, he was the son of the late Oleane Caines and Virginia Cartrette Caines.
    He is survived by his wife, Wanda Caines of the home; one daughter, Paula Dew Caines of Whiteville; two sons, Patrick Caines of Green Sea, Aaron Caines of Cross City, Florida; one step son, Jamie Huggins of Whiteville; one step daughter, Faye Mitchell of Hallsboro, five brothers, Bill Caines of Tabor City, Jerry Caines of Tabor City, Sammy Caines of Aynor, Dexter Caines of Spartanburg, Dean Caines of Goldsboro; 15 grandchildren; one great grandchild.
    Visitation was planned from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6 in Inman Ward Funeral Home, Tabor City.
    Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7 in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, Tabor City, with burial following in Myrtle Green Cemetery.
