Curtis Linston Jacobs: Richmond, Virginia

Curtis Linston Jacobs of Richmond, Virginia went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, Nov. 15. He was 91.
Born in Tabor City the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. G.C. Jacobs, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy in WWII. He also spent 37 years working at Unisource. Curtis lived his life sharing his Christian faith and serving others. He was a member of Parham Road Baptist Church for 50 years and humbly served on the Deacon Board as well as Head of the Deacon Board for many terms throughout his life. Many of his proudest and most cherished moments were spent as being “Papa” to his grandchildren. He loved them with all of his heart.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Cora Lee Avant Jacobs, children Alan (Barbara), Melanie Jacobs Casper (Mark), granddaughters Monica Casper, Michele Casper, Robin Kuhnert (Bill) and a great grandchild, Elianna. Curtis is also survived by a sister Mary Catherine Fowler (Howard), and a host of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life was held on Wednesday, Nov. 19 at Woody Funeral Home chapel, Richmond, Virginia.
