Christopher Lee Waddell: Loris

    Christopher Lee Waddell of Loris passed away Monday, Dec. 22. He was 26.
    Christopher was born in Conway, a son of Tommy Lee Waddell and Myra J. Gore. Christopher, affectionately known as “Critter,” was a very humble, loving young man with a wonderful personality. He loved the Lord, was a prayer warrior, read his Bible every day, and was faithful to Loris First Baptist Church.
    Christopher loved his parents and grandparents, was a best friend to his brothers, and was devoted to the “love of his life” Mary Reagan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing pool.
    Christopher was a three sport star athlete in high school, graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a degree in History and was currently pursuing a degree as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. He worked for several years with the Loris Recreation Department.
    Christopher was predeceased by his paternal grandfather Rev. Elbert L. Waddell
    Survivors include his father, Tommy Lee Waddell of Loris; his mother, Myra J. Gore and her husband Donnie of Conway; two brothers, Matthew J. Waddell and his wife Emily of Conway, and Miles T. Waddell of Loris; paternal grandmother, Irene Worley Waddell of Whiteville; maternal grandparents, Joseph and Dollie Todd of Conway; the “love of his life,” Mary Reagan Holt Floyd; two uncles, Dr. Bobby D. Waddell of Whiteville, and Terry Collins and his wife Kathryn of Glen Allen, Virginia; three aunts, Debra J. Holcomb, Sandra G. Ward and her husband Harold all of Whiteville, and Karen Stevens and her husband Mitchell of Loris; and cousins, Cheox, Zack, Jason, Laura, Julia, Kyle, Josh, Ashley, Mandy, Gina, Cassie, Matthew, and Dakota.
    Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel.
    Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, at Loris First Baptist Church with Dr. Bobby D. Waddell and Dr. Jim Mezick officiating, burial following in Whiteville Memorial Cemetery.
