Cynthia “Cindy” Rose Garrell Duquette: Loris

Cynthia “Cindy” Rose Garrell Duquette of Loris, passed away Friday, Dec. 26 at Agape Senior in Conway following an illness. She was 65.
Born on July 9, 1949 in Loris she was the daughter of the late James Edward Garrell, Sr. and the late Marian Graham Garrell.
Mrs. Duquette was a loving homemaker, wife, mother and sister and a longtime member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Tabor City.
Cindy and Rich met in 2000 while working in the marketing of timeshares in Myrtle Beach. She was quick to laugh and enjoyed dining, dancing and good company. Rich introduced her to sailing, which she enjoyed immensely at the N.J. shore. She and Rich returned to Loris in 2009.
Survivors include her husband, Richard L. “Rich” Duquette of the home; two daughters, Stacy Martin of Atlanta, Georgia and Jennifer Weatherly and husband, “Bud” of Timmonsville; her brother, James E. “Chuck” Garrell, Jr. and his wife, Darlene of Wilmington; stepson, Stephen Duquette of South Amboy, New Jersey; sister-in-law, Denise Duquette of Cape Coral, Florida; brother-in-law, Edward Duquette of Daytona Beach, Florida and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29 at St. Paul United Methodist Church of Tabor City with Pastor Jerry Martin officiating. Committal services were private.
