Amy Cannon: Loris

    Amy Cannon of Loris went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014 She was 39.
    Amy was born July 14, 1975 in Florence, the daughter of Danny and Loretta Sarvis Cannon. She was a member of Pleasant Meadow Baptist Church.
    Amy graduated from Loris High School in 1993 and received a Bachelor’s Degree from Coastal Carolina University in Business in 1997. She graduated from the South Carolina Bankers School in 2001 and also received a Master’s Degree in Banking from LSU in 2004.
    Amy was employed by Horry County State Bank for 17 years and was currently Vice President and Branch Manager of Anderson Brothers Bank in Longs. She was Sports Ambassador for North Myrtle Beach Parks and Recreation Department.
    Amy was a Children’s Bible Drill Leader for many years at Pleasant Meadow Baptist Church. She had a love for farming with her daddy at Father and Daughter Farms of Loris.
    Amy was predeceased by her grandparents, L. D. and Marie Sarvis and Wyatt and Evelyn Cannon.
    In addition to her parents of Loris, she is survived by her brother, Scotty W. Cannon and his wife Susan of Nichols; two nephews, Bryce Ford and Aaron Ford of Nichols; best friends, Sherry Johnson of Galivants Ferry, Beth Helms of Conway, and Denise Floyd of Green Sea; uncle and aunts, Sonny and Hedy Cannon of Aynor, Cynthia Duke of Conway, and Anne Taylor of Conway; several cousins and many other friends.
    Funeral services were planned for 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, at Pleasant Meadow Baptist Church with Rev. Mark George and Rev. Rocky Gregory officiating, burial following in the church cemetery. Family members planned to visit with other family and friends following the committal service in the church sanctuary.
