Sylvia Jewene Gerald: Loris
Sylvia Jewene Gerald of Loris, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Dec. 31. She was 80.
Mrs. Gerald was born in Loris, a daughter of late Henry Odell Stalvey and the late Cecil Chestnut Stalvey.
Mrs. Gerald was predeceased by her husband, Lester Gerald; four brothers; one grandson, Presley Hardee and one granddaughter, Julie Stanley.
Survivors include her six daughters, Saundra Hardee and Myra Graham, both of Loris, Pam Huggins of High Point, Priscilla Ridge of Atlanta, Georgia, Wendy Espinoza of Loris, and Gigi Trejo of Tabor City; two granddaughters, whom she raised, Cegi Trejo and Destiny Gerald; 10 other grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one brother, David Odell “Olean” Stalvey of Longs; and four sisters, Ivadell Crouse of Loris, Patsy Inman of Conway, Peggy McDowell of Longs, and Deletha of Loris.
Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel.
Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel with Rev. Lloyd Williamson officiating, burial following in Twin City Memorial Gardens.
