Robbery, murder witness?
By DEUCE NIVEN
Horry County Police released a photograph Monday of a man “who may have seen something that may help our investigation” into a Red Bluff store robbery and murder Friday night.
That came as a community mourned and police continued their efforts to locate the men who robbed the Sunhouse convenience store at 7406 Hwy 905 about 10 p.m. Friday.
Bala Gopal Paruchuri, 40, died behind the counter of the Sunhouse, at the corner of Red Bluff Road, Horry County Deputy Coroner Michelle McSpadden said.
Paruchuri died of multiple gunshot wounds, McSpadden said.
A native of India who had made his home in Myrtle Beach, Paruchuri will be returned to his homeland for burial, officials at Burroughs Funeral home Monday in Murrells Inlet. Visitation for the popular store clerk was well attended Monday morning at the funeral home.
Paruchuri died as HCPD officers investigated an armed robbery at the nearby Dollar General location at 7130 Highway 905, department Raul Denis said in a news release.
Images from the Dollar General robbery were also released by the HCPD on Monday, giving a clear picture of that alleged robber.
Anyone with information on either robbery, or who can help police locate the potential witness, is asked to contact the HCPD at 843-248-1520 or call the Tip Line at 843-915-8477 (TIPS).
