Inez Della Fowler Grainger: Tabor City

Inez Della Fowler Grainger of Tabor City died Thursday, Jan. 8, in Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center, Whiteville. She was 86.
Born Dec. 20, 1928 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Seymour Lloyd Fowler and Armenda Fowler Fowler. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Lonnie Clemson Grainger; two brothers, Earl Fowler, John Fowler; three sisters, Marie Stevens, Alice Fowler, Gladys Fowler; and one grandchild, Jeffrey Watts.
She is survived by three daughters, Geraldine Carawan of Sharpsburg, Georgia, Katherine Mull of Sharpsburg, Georgia, Bobbie Small of Tabor City; one son, Lonnie Grainger of Tabor City; five sisters, Ruthene Housand of Nichols, Christine Fowler and Joanne Jacobs of Loris, Betty Todd of Tabor City, Eulene Blanton of Columbia; eight grandchildren, Bryan Fowler, Rae Perez, Cayce Pfeiff, Dana DeGennaro, David Mull, Beau DeRosa, Daniel Carawan, Ryan Small; and eight great grandchildren.
She was a member of New Horizon Baptist Worship Center, Tabor City.
Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, in Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City.
Funeral was planned for 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, Tabor City, with burial following in the Carolina Baptist Church Cemetery, Green Sea.
