Daisy Marie Bennett: Tabor City

    Daisy Marie Bennett of Tabor City died Wednesday, Jan. 21, in Lower Cape Fear Hospice & Life Care Center, Whiteville. She was 67.
    Born April 11, 1947 in Bogalusa, Louisiana, she was the daughter of the late Goodbee Gordon Thomas and Esther Mae Garner Thomas.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Venus Marie Edwards; two sisters, Bobbie Jean Warren and Margie Sarah Jarrell.
    She is survived by her husband, Armando Guerrero Boez; two sons, Stanley Francis Elpers II of Little River, and Guy Francis Elpers of Miami, Florida; four brothers, Dennis Thomas of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, Randy Thomas of Bogalusa, Louisiana, Charles Roy Thomas of Ash, and Glyn Ray Thomas of Jackson, Mississippi; one sister, Ola Virginia Thomas of Franklinton, Louisiana; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
    A memorial service was planned for 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, Tabor City.
