Drug delivery chargers against a local woman accuse her of distributing Xanax tablets in the Chadbourn, Macedonia, Evergreen, and Cerro Gordo areas of Columbus County, Lt. Steven Worthington of the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office Vice-Narcotics Unit said Tuesday.
Teresa Faye Williamson, 55, of Autumn Lane in the Birdcage Community near Chadbourn, was arrested Monday, charged with two counts of sale and delivery of a controlled substance, and one count of maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance, Worthington said in a news release.
Williamson was held at the Columbus County Detention Center, her bond set at $40,000, secured.
Citizen complaints prompted the investigation, and undercover detectives purchased the prescription medication from Williamson, Worthington said.
