“Due to inclement weather, school will start at 10AM on Wednesday, 2/25/15 for all schools in Columbus County Schools except Columbus Career and College Academy which will start at 11 AM. Staff will report at 9:30AM.”
Horry County Schools will be on a two-hour delay for students and staff Wednesday, as will the Whiteville City Schools and Southeastern Community College.
UPDATE: Columbus County Schools and Whiteville City Schools will be closed today, the decision made after 6 a.m. as snow was falling in much of the county.
Southeastern Community College, Coastal Carolina University, Horry Georgetown Technical College, and Columbus County government offices are also closed.
State high school basketball playoff games, scheduled for tonight, are currently expected to be played Wednesday, weather permitting, South Columbus High Athletic Director Willie Gore said.
