Paul L. Rhodes: Loris

    Paul L. Rhodes of Loris passed away Sunday, March 8, at his residence. He was 83.
    He was born in Estill, a son of the late Columbus Rhodes and the late Mable Butler Rhodes. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in the Korean War, was a farmer and a truck driver.
    Mr. Rhodes was predeceased by his wife, Mazie M. Rhodes; one son, Jimmy L. Rhodes; two brothers, Wendell Rhodes and Bill Rhodes; and one sister, Bobbie Grainger.
    Survivors include two daughters, Patricia R. Gore of Tabor City, and Billie Ward of North Myrtle Beach; a son, Jeff Rhodes of Loris; three brothers, Harold Rhodes, Larry Rhodes, and Tommy Rhodes; three sisters, Frances Graham, Virginia Rowell, and Brenda Kitelinger; and two granddaughters.
    Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel.
    Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel, with Rev. Mack Hutson and Rev. John Holmes officiating. Committal services, with military honors, were planned to follow in the Old Springfield Cemetery.
