Alice Fowler Carlisle: Loris

Alice Fowler Carlisle of Loris, passed away Sunday, March 15, at Conway Medical Center following an illness. She was 88.
Mrs. Carlisle was born on June 22, 1926 in Loris, a daughter of Mr. Charles Fowler and Mrs. Maggie Phipps Fowler.
Mrs. Carlisle retired as a seamstress and was a member of Conway Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her two daughters, Sue Hardwick and husband, David of Conway, and Jo Ann Hardee of North Myrtle Beach; 10 grandchildren, Sheryl, Larry, Ricky, Buddy, Rhonda, Sherry, Tammy, Kristie, Dale and Chad; 13 great-grandchildren, Keith, Briggs, Ashley, Peyton, Cameron, Mallory, Drake, Drew, Harmony, Alexis, Stacy, Kensley and Gracyn and two great-great-grandchildren, Harper and Zayden.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Carlisle was predeceased by her first husband, A. J. Cox, her second husband, Walter Bishop Carlisle, her son, Roger Dale Cox, Sr., two brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services were held 3 p.m.Wednesday, March 18 at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Rev. Weldon “Buddy” Coates officiating. Committal services followed at Twin City Memorial Gardens.
