Lonzie Leton Suggs: Loris
Lonzie Leton Suggs of Loris, age 75, passed away Monday, March 16 at McLeod Loris hospital following an illness. He was 75.
Born on Oct. 29, 1939 in Loris, he was the son of Mr. Leton Suggs and Mrs. Lena Bell Suggs.
Mr. Suggs was a retired farmer and truck driver and a member of Crossway Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Janis Cannon Suggs of the home; two sons, Timmy Suggs and Kim Suggs, both of Loris; two brothers, Teddy Suggs of Loris, and Jimmy Suggs of Elgin; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Suggs was predeceased by his sister, Patsy Woodson.
Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Friday, March 20 at Crossway Baptist Church with Pastor Tommy Shelley and Reverend Alvin Jackson officiating. Committal services will follow at Cane Branch Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at Crossway Baptist Church.
