William Leon Gore: Little River

William Leon Gore of Little River passed away Saturday, March 21 at his daughters home in West Columbia following an illness. He was 96.
Mr. Gore was born on June 20, 1918 in Little River, the son of Mr. William Needham Gore and Mrs. Mary Louise Jones Gore. Mr. Gore was a retired farmer and of the Primitive Baptist faith.
Survivors include his two daughters, Jolene G. Long and husband William J. “Bill” Long of Hendersonville and Wanda G. Banning and husband, Bill of West Columbia; one son, William David Gore and wife, Margaret of Little River; one brother, Watson Gore and wife, Mildred of Brooksville; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Gore was predeceased by one brother, Woodrow Rodney Gore and his sister, Myrtle Gore McLamb.
