Old Horry Courthouse closed today

    A blown transformer has forced closing of the Old Horry County Courhouse today.
    Located at 1201 3rd Avenue in Conway, the courthouse is without power as crews work to replace the transformer, an Horry County news release said.
    Offices located in the Old Horry County Courthouse includes the Conway Magistrate, Central Traffic Court, Central Jury Court, Delegation, Probation & Parole, Department of Juvenile Justice, and the Worthless Check Unit.
    There will be no precious metals permits issued today as a result of the closing.
    Those scheduled to appear in court today are asked to call the offices tomorrow (Thursday) to reschedule hearing dates.
    All offices are expected to open on a normal scheduled tomorrow, April 22.
