Brenda W. Sherman: Loris

    Brenda W. Sherman of Loris, age 52, passed away Sunday, April 26.
    Mrs. Sherman was born in North Wilkesboro, a daughter of the late Kenneth Everette Whittington and the late Grace Katherine Frazier Whittington.  
    Mrs. Sherman was a Special Education teacher for over 25 years and retired in 2010 from Horry County Schools. She was a member of Loris First Baptist Church.
     She was predeceased by one brother, Perry Whittington.
    Survivors include her husband of 25 years, George R. Sherman of Loris; one son, Zackary Sherman and his fiance’, Dakotah Thebodeau of Loris; and one daughter, Victoria Sherman of Loris.
    Visitation was planned from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 28 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel.  
    Funeral services were planned for 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 29 from Loris First Baptist Church with Dr. Louis Venable and Rev. Hunter Johnson officiating.
    A second funeral service was planned for 1 p.m. Friday, May 1 at Stony Hill Baptist Church in Purlear, with visitation being held one hour prior, burial following in the church cemetery.
