Sylvia Todd Prince: Loris

    Sylvia Todd Prince of Loris passed away Saturday, April 25 at her home following an illness. She was 70.
    Mrs. Prince was born Feb. 22, 1945 in Loris, daughter of the late Mr. Bentley Wilburney Todd and the late Mrs. Mary Alma Hardee Todd. Mrs. Prince was a homemaker, farmer, flower shop owner; she attended CCU for nursing school where she was top of her class, an avid donor to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and a longtime member of Cherry Hill Baptist Church.
     Survivors include her husband, Barry Prince of the home; two sons, Todd Sean Prince and wife, Glenna of Newnan, Georgia and Barry Shane Prince and wife, Rachel of Loris; two grandchildren, Channing Shane Prince and Austin Barry Prince both of Loris; two step-grandchildren, Aaron Reid and Laura Stewart and husband, Ben and their daughter, Elizabeth Kate; one brother, Ricky R. Todd and wife, Donna of Loris; two sisters, Mildred T. Cobb of Columbia, and Willa T. Brown and husband, Neil of Wilmington; former daughter-in-law, Sandra Ann Jordan and twenty three nieces and nephews.
     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Prince was predeceased by her four brothers, Charles Lindbergh Todd, Burnice W. Todd, M/Sgt. Robert W. Todd and M/Sgt. Jimmy Dale Todd.
     Funeral services were held 3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28 at Cherry Hill Baptist Church with Reverend Ragsdale Allsbrook officiating. Committal services followed at Cherry Hill Cemetery.
