Betty Jean Todd Smith: Ash

    Betty Jean Todd Smith of Ash died Monday, May 11 in Autumn Care in Shallotte. She was 70.
     Born Sept. 3, 1944 in Charleston, she was the daughter of the late Gaston and Wilma Thomas Todd.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Mack Todd.
    She is survived by her husband, Ellis Smith of the home; one son, Allen Smith of Ash; one daughter, Crystal Smith of Ash; two sisters, Mary Fulwood of Ocean Isle Beach, Ruby Bazen of Sunset Beach; three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
    Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 13 in Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City.
    A graveside service was planned for 2 p.m. Thursday, May 14 in  Smith Cemetery, Longwood Road, Ash.
