Silas Bobby Inman: Tabor City

    Silas Bobby Inman of Tabor City, age 83, passed away Monday, May 18 at his home in Tabor City following an illness. He was 83.
    Mr. Inman was born on July 5, 1931 in Ash, a son of the late Frank Devon Inman and Madge Grant Inman. Mr. Inman was a retired farmer and will be remembered for his role as a founding member of Westside Baptist Church as well as being a longtime member and Deacon at Clarendon Baptist Church.
     Survivors include his wife, Annie Neal Inman of the home; four sons, Jimmy Inman and wife, Faye of Runnelstown, Mississippi, Charles Inman and wife, Jenniffer, Joseph Inman and Tammy Stevens and Bobby Inman all of Ash; his daughter, Annette Dorman and husband, Craig of Tabor City; 13 loving grandchildren; 13 loving great-grandchildren; two brothers, Boyd Inman and wife, Alta Mae and George Inman and wife, Ola all of Ash; his sister, Annie Vance and husband, Teddy of Whiteville, and sister-in-law, Edna Faye Inman of Shallotte.
     Mr. Inman was predeceased by five brothers, Samuel, Homer, Howard, Aaron and Lloyd Inman.
     Funeral services were held 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 21 at Clarendon Baptist Church with Pastor Ryan Edwards officiating. Committal services followed in Bill Inman Cemetery in Ash.
