Paul Drozdiak: Longs
Paul Drozdiak of Longs passed away Saturday, June 20 at Roper Hospital in Charleston, following an illness. He was 89.
Mr. Drozdiak was born Sept. 27, 1925 in Clifton, New Jersey, a son of the late Mr. Paul Drozdiak and the late Mrs. Christina Telep Drozdiak.
Mr. Drozdiak served his country with honor and courage in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Drozdiak of the home; his daughter, Doreen Longo of New Jersey; two grandsons; and four great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Drozdiak was predeceased by his four sisters and one brother.
A prayer service was planned for 1 p.m. on Friday, June 26 at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Deacon Jim Collins officiating. Visitation was planned from noon until the time of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to Roper St. Francis Hospital, Intensive Cardiac Care, Fifth Floor, 2233 Northwoods Blvd., Charleston, SC 29406.
