Myrtle Jane Jacobs: Tabor City

    Myrtle Jane Jacobs of Tabor City died Friday, July 10, in Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center, Whiteville. She was 88.
    Born in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Johnny E. Singletary and Ella Faircloth Singletary. She was the widow of Dupree Joseph Jacobs.
    She is survived by four daughters, Linda Jacobs of Tabor City, Faye Nealey of Dillion, Evette Kirby (Jimmy) and Debbie Kirby (Bobby) both of Supply; two grandchildren, Kendra Jones and Brian Nealey; two great-grandchildren, Austin Jones and Isabella Jones.
    The family would like to give a special thanks to the caregivers Sheila Richardson, Angie Vereen, Brittany Norris, Linda Brown and Susan Cellner, and also to family members, church and the community for all the help and support given to the family during this time allowing them to be able to take care for their mother at home.
    Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Monday, July 13, in Dulah Baptist Church, with burial following in the church cemetery.
    Visitation was planned for the hour prior to the service in the church.
    In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center tile project in Honor of Mrs. Myrtle Jane Jacobs. 206 Warrior Trail Road Whiteville, NC 28472
