A July 4 shooting near Tabor City remains under investigation more than a week after the victim’s death, a Columbus County Sheriff’s Office news release issued Tuesday said.
Antron Oshea Bowman, 25, of Lester Watts Road, was reportedly shot with a shotgun while on Bermuda Bay Lane, a July 4 report by Deputy Justin McPherson said.
Bowman was shot in the abdomen, and taken by private vehicle to McLeod Loris hospital, the news release said.
Bowman died July 12 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach. Results from an autopsy performed two days later are still pending, the news release said.
Bowman was interviewed following the shooting, and “provided officers with few details,” the news release said.
Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office, Capt. David Nobles said.
