Nellie McPherson Lee: Tabor City

    Nellie McPherson Lee of Tabor City died Wednesday, July 22 in the Lower Cape Fear Hospice LifeCareCenter, Whiteville. She was 80.
    Born Jan. 22, 1935 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Bessie McPherson.  
    In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one brother, David J. McPherson; two sisters, Lucy Monroe and Betty Lou Lisk.
    She is survived by her husband, Enoch Levy Lee; four brothers, Howard McPherson of Chadbourn, Alfred McPherson of Chadbourn, Jimmy McPherson of Clarendon, and Hoyt McPherson of Clarendon.
    She was a member of Beaverdam Freewill Baptist Church in Chadbourn.
    Visitation was planned from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 23 in the Beaverdam Freewill Baptist Church, Chadbourn.
    Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Friday, July 24 in Beaverdam Freewill Baptist Church, Chadbourn, with burial following in McPherson Cemetery, Chadbourn.
