Joe Dean Blanchard: Green Sea

    Joe Dean Blanchard of Green Sea died Wednesday, Aug. 19 in Conway Medical Center. He was 58.
    Born Oct. 25, 1946 in Alamance County, he was the son of the late Jim Blanchard and Helen Fitch Blanchard.
    He is survived by two daughters, Crystal Blanchard Hill of Green Sea, Tammy Marcum of Loris; one son Joey Dean Blanchard of Oceanside, California; and 10 grandchildren.
    He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and served in the Vietnam War.
    Visitation was planned from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23 in Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City.
    Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24 in Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Loris, with burial following in the church cemetery.
