Dorothy Ward Floyd: Loris

    Dorothy Ward Floyd of Loris, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 26. She was 74.
    Mrs. Floyd was born in Florence County a daughter of the late J. D. and Lucille Timmons.  
    She was predeceased by her first husband, Cleve Ward; and three brothers, Herbert Timmons, Bill Timmons, and Johnny Timmons.
    Survivors include her husband, Johnny Floyd of Loris; three daughters, Dianne Ward Stewart of Longs, Melody Ward Brislin of Summerville, Carrie Ward of Longs; one step-daughter, Jeania Floyd Bell of Loris; six grandchildren; two sisters, Jeanette Sparkman of Clinton, and Margaret of Hendersonville; and several nieces and nephews.
     Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29 at Princeville Baptist Church with Rev. Mitchell Barnhill and Rev. Michael Stewart officiating, birial following in Twin City Memorial Gardens.
    The family planned to receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church prior to the service.
