Janis Cannon Suggs: Loris

     Janis Cannon Suggs of Loris passed away Sunday, Aug. 23 at Conway Medical Center following an illness. She was 65.
     Born Oct. 1, 1949 in Loris, she was the daughter of Mr. Hasty Olvelee Cannon and Mrs. Gertrude Todd Cannon.
    Mrs. Suggs was a loving homemaker, retired farmer and a member of Crossway Baptist Church.
     Survivors include her two sons, Timmy Suggs and wife, Lori and Kim Suggs and wife, Sherrie; three grandchildren, Mallory and Jordyn Suggs and Brittany Thurman and two great-grandchildren, Jaden and Briley Auclaire all of Loris, and one sister, Judy C. Shelley and her husband Rev. Thomas Shelley of Aynor.
     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Suggs was predeceased her husband, Lonzie Leton Suggs, her brother, Leamon Buck Cannon and three sisters; Bobbie C. Holt, Betty C. Tyler and Danny Sue Cannon.
     Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Crossway Baptist Church with Pastor Tommy Shelley and Reverend Alvin Jackson officiating. Committal services  followed at Cane Branch Cemetery.
