    Mary Lucille Britt Ford of Tabor City died Tuesday, Sept. 1 in Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCareCenter in Whiteville. She was 83.
    Born in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Hallie Britt and Irene Walker Britt.
    She is survived by a son, Lannie Dean Ford of Tabor City; a daughter, Mary Lisa Small of Tabor City; a sister, Lila Fogle of Fair Bluff; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by two sons, Edgar Myron Ford and Hallerin Brooks Ford;  one daughter, Brittie Lucille Ford; one sister, Sarah Britt and two brothers, Carlyle Britt and Hubert Britt.
    Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3 in the Emmanuel Holiness Church, Tabor City, with burial following in Riverside Cemetery, Nichols.
    Visitation was planned for one hour prior to the service in the church.
    In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center 206 Warrior Trail Rd. Whiteville, NC 28472.
