Hickman Levon Lee: Longs

1936 – 2015
Hickman Levon Lee of Longs passed away Sunday, Sept. 27 at Agape Hospice in Conway following an illness. He was 79.
Mr. Lee was born on July 31, 1936 in Longs, a son of the late Mr. Carl Hickman Lee and the late Mrs. Dora Mae Mills Lee.
Mr. Lee was employed by George A. Creed & Sons Co. from 1961 through 1978. He then went to work with Chancel Construction of Conway, SC from 1978 until his retirement in 2001. He was a construction superintendent, building churches, schools and hospitals such as B.C. Moore, Horry Telephone Co., and Horry County State Bank. He was an avid hunter and fisherman but will be most remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.??
Mr. Lee was a member of Hermitage Baptist Church in Camden and was a past president of the REACT club in Camden but had recently been attending Today’s Harvest Church in North Myrtle Beach.
??Survivors include his wife, Agnes McQueen Lee; his son, Richard Earl Lee and wife, Dee Duncan Lee; daughter-in-law, Sandra Williams Lee; five grandchildren, Kristen Lee Lyod and husband, Eddie, Andrea Lee Watts and husband, Trent, Joshua David Lee and wife, Katie, Christopher Jarrett Lee, Kayla Lee Holmes and husband, Corey; three great-grandchildren, Ethan James West and Annslee Margaret Holmes and Charlie Lee and several nieces and nephews. ??
In addition to his parents, Mr. Lee was predeceased by his son, Joel Levon Lee and his sister, Roberta Rabon.
Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, at Hardwick Funeral Home, Loris.
Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1 at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mickey Mullis officiating, committal services following at Buck Creek Cemetery.
