Myrtle Lee Watson: Loris

1937 – 2015

    Myrtle Lee Watson of Loris passed away Tuesday, Sept. 29. She was 78.
    She was born in Horry County, a daughter of the late Garfield Wright and the late Dulah Wright Cartrette. She was a member of Mt. Ariel Freewill Baptist Church.
    She was predeceased by her first husband, Billy Cartrette; her second husband, Johnny Watson; two sons, Ricky Cartrette and Terry Wayne Cartrette; a son-in-law, Danny Blackburn; a great-granddaughter; and several brothers and sisters
    Survivors include a daughter, Dianne Blackburn of Loris; a son, Michael Cartrette of Loris; her loving friend, Pat Bowman of Loris; two brothers, James Wright of Richmond, Virginia, and Frankie Cartrette of Bend, Oregon; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel with Rev. Timmy Locklear, Rev. Mickey Ward, Chaplain Kitty Boyd, and Mr. LeVerne Ward officiating. Burial was to follow in Holly Hill Cemetery.
    Visitation was planned from 1 to 3 p.m., preceding the funeral, and at other times at the home of Dianne Blackburn.
