Ruth Porter Faircloth: Loris
1933 – 2015
Ruth Porter Faircloth of Loris passed away Saturday, Sept. 26 at her home following an illness. She was 82.
Mrs. Faircloth was born on June 8, 1933 in Loris, a daughter of the late Mr. Gardner Bryant Porter and the late Mrs. Mary Stella Lee Porter. Mrs. Faircloth retired from Escod Industries, was a longtime member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and was proud to say she had been a Christian for over 60 years.
Survivors include her three sons, Ralph Faircloth and wife, Kathy, Mitchell Faircloth and girlfriend, Maria and David Faircloth and wife, Stephanie all of Loris; 15 loving grandchildren; 17 loving great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and her sister-in-law, Cecilia Porter of Brooksville, Florida.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Faircloth was predeceased by her husband, Thurmon Dossie Faircloth; her four brothers, Jessie, Eddie, Willie and Herman Porter and her five sisters, Gladys Hinson, Mabel P. Cook, Eva Mae Porter, Retha Kincaid and Lillie Mae Porter.
?? Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Donnie Graham and Reverend Wendell Ray officiating, committal services following in the Carter Cemetery.
