Virginia Holmes Harrelson: Loris

1950 – 2015

    Virginia Holmes Harrelson of Loris passed away Sunday, Sept. 27 at her home following an illness. She was 64.
    Mrs. Harrelson was born on Oct. 28, 1950 in Conway, a daughter of the late Mr. Henry Oliver Holmes, Sr. and the late Mrs. Mary Gertrude Stevens Holmes.
    Mrs. Harrelson was a homemaker and a longtime faithful member of Cherry Hill Baptist Church.
    Survivors include her daughter, Tara Lee Harrelson Johnson of Longs; her loving granddaughter, Abby Lee Johnson who loved her “Me Ma”; her sister, Patricia Thompson and husband, Robert of Denver, and her brother, Henry O. Holmes, Jr. and wife, Nancy of Loris.
    Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, at Hardwick Funeral Home, Loris.
    Funeral services were planned for 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30 at Cherry Hill Baptist Church with Reverend John Holmes and Reverend Jim Ponder officiating. Committal services will follow at Twin City Memorial Gardens.
    Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29 at Hardwick Funeral Home.
