Martha Watts Caldwell: Tabor City

    Martha Watts Caldwell of Tabor City died Wednesday, Nov. 4 in Providence Hospital in Columbia. She was 79.
     Born April 3, 1936 in Horry County, she was the widow of James Burt Caldwell and the daughter of the late John Solomon Watts and Hattie Suggs Watts.
    She is survived by two sons, Jimmy Lenneau Caldwell of Columbia, Jerome “Pete” Caldwell of Waterloo; one sister, Lizzie Alexander of Lancaster; three grandsons, Michael Caldwell, Christopher Caldwell, Timothy Caldwell; one granddaughter, Shannon Bove; and 12 great grandchildren.
      In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Luther, James, Hartford, and Horace Watts; four sisters, Bernice Blanton, Carline Strickland, Barbara Phillips, and Earstine Watts.
    She was a member of the Tabor City Holiness Tabernacle.
    Funeral Services were planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7 in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, Tabor City, with burial following in Twin City Memorial Gardens, Loris. Visitation was planned for the hour prior to the service in the chapel.
