Mary Ann Hardee: Tabor City

1944 – 2015

    Mary Ann Hardee of Tabor City, died Thursday, Nov. 12, in Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter, Whiteville. She was 71.
    Born May 1, 1944 in Marion County, she was the daughter of Donnie Vereen and Magaline Rabon Vereen.
    She is survived by two sons, Donnie Thompkins and Wayne Thompkins of Tabor City; a step-daughter, Lynn Floyd of Loris; a brother, Kelly Vereen of Tabor City; a half-brother, Leonard Gilliland of Conway; two sisters, Peggy Vereen and Frances Thompkins of Tabor City; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands Charles Blease Hardee and Roy Lee Thompkins; a sister, Grace Register; and a son, Thomas Vereen.
    Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, Tabor City, with burial following in Red Hill Cemetery, Mullins.
    Visitation was planned for the hour preceding the service, in the funeral home.
