Barbara C. Howard: Ash

1942 – 2015

    Barbara C. Howard of Ash died Saturday, Nov. 21 in Shallotte Assisted Living. She was 72.
     Born Dec. 14, 1942 in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Canupp and Virginia Mott Canupp.  
    She is survived by her life companion, Jim David Smith of Ash, two step daughters, Sharon Elmore of Shallotte, Lisa Trejo of Ash; one sister, Wanda Carter of Alexander, Virginia; five grandchildren; one great grandchild.
    In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband: Richard Howard.
    Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24 in Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City.
    A graveside service was planned for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25 in Smith Cemetery, Longwood Road, Ash.
