Doris Wright Coker: Tabor City

1935 – 2015

    Doris Wright Coker of Tabor City died Saturday, Nov. 28, in Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCareCenter, Whiteville. She was 80.
    Born in Columbus County, she was the daughter of late Austin L. and Catherine Battle Wright.
    She is survived by her husband, Bobby C. Coker of Tabor City; two daughters, Brenda C. Faircloth and Marcia Minchew of Tabor City; two sons, Kenneth Coker and Michael Coker of Tabor City; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Wright.
    Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Wright Cemetery, Minos Meares Road, Tabor City.
    Visitation was planned for the hour prior to the service in the chapel.
