1940 – 2015
Hilda Rae Wright Bullock of Loris went home to be with Jesus on Friday, Dec. 18, surrounded by members of her family, church family and friends in the Lord at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence. She was 75.
Hilda was born in Tabor City, the youngest daughter of the late Edgar Austin Wright and Agnes Hardee Wright. She was a graduate of Tabor City High School and King’s Business College in Charlotte.
She worked many years as a bookkeeper and office manager in Whiteville. She was a homemaker, an animal lover, a companion to the elderly, and an active member of Bethany Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Cedric Wright.
Hilda is survived by one son, Scott Bullock (Carrie) of Australia; a sister, Eunice Wright Cox of Wilmington; many nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
A memorial service was planned for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, at Bethany Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Lewis officiating and a eulogy given by Phyllis Elliott Elvington. The family planned to receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the service.
