Harvey Paul Blanton: Lexington

1937 – 2016

    Harvey Paul Blanton of Lexington died Friday, Jan. 22, in Lexington Medical Center, West Columbia. He was 78.
    Born Feb. 18, 1937 in Horry County, he was the son of the late Waddell Blanton and Elma Shelley Blanton.
    He is survived by his wife, Eulene Frances Fowler Blanton of Lexington; a son, Terry Blanton and wife Joyce of Lexington; a brother: Clifford Blanton of Lexington; three sisters, Virginia Netzband, Alice Blanton, Diane Blanton, all of Lexington; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by a son, Marty Blanton; and a brother, Walter Blanton.
    Mr. Blanton was a retired veteran of the United States Army.
    Visitation was planned from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25, in Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City.
    Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, in Inman Ward Funeral Home, Tabor City, with burial following in Myrtle Green Cemetery, Tabor City.
