Clifford Lee Morgan, Sr.: Loris

1937 – 2016

    Clifford Lee Morgan, Sr. of Loris passed away Tuesday, Jan. 19 at his home in Loris following an illness. He was 78.
    Mr. Morgan was born Aug. 22, 1937 in Rumble, West Virginia, a son of the late Mr. Estil Morgan and the late Mrs. Margarette Perdue Morgan.
    Mr. Morgan worked as a coal miner and attended Father’s Cup Ministries.
    Survivors include his four sons, Clifford Morgan, Jr. of Loris, Randy Morgan, Richie Morgan and Scotty Morgan, all of West Virginia; three daughters, Velda Poston of Loris, Laura Snyder and Patty Lewis of West Virginia; many loving grand and great-grandchildren; three brothers, Sebert Morgan of North Myrtle Beach, Frank Morgan and Estil Morgan, both of Ohio; and one sister, Virgie Dolin of Ohio.
    Mr. Morgan was predeceased by his wife, Patsy Yeager Morgan and his sister, Reba Dolin.
     A memorial service was planned for 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at Father’s Cup Church in Longs, with Pastor Rick Ruonala officiating. Committal services in Massey Cemetery in West Virginia will be held at a later date.
