Lola Pearl Mishue: Whiteville

1939 – 2016

    Lola Pearl Mishue of Whiteville died Thursday, Jan. 28, in Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter, Whiteville. She was 76.
    Born Aug. 11, 1939 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Barnel Long and Lily Benton Long.
    She is survived by a daughter, Evelyn B. Fowler of Clarendon; a son, James Marshall “J. M.” Mishue of Whiteville; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, O.D. Mishue; a son, Oburn Mishue; infant daughter Doris Faye Mishue; and infant son Tommy Mishue.
    A graveside service was planned for 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 31, in the Alton Long Cemetery, Crusoe Island Road, Whiteville. Family planned to receive friends following the service at the graveside.
